How many times has this happened to you?



This summer, I'm hosting the free
Summer of Simplicity series. In this series, we're focusing on decluttering, organizing, and creating routines & habits to stop the clutter from coming back... all in just 10-15 minutes a day!

Welcome to Week 5 of the challenge! This week we're focusing on decluttering our wardrobes!

HOW MANY TIMES HAS THIS HAPPENED TO YOU?

You're getting dressed in the morning, and you try on a bunch of different outfits, only to toss every one of them aside because...

  • "That doesn't fit right."
  • "This doesn't match."
  • "I don't like the way these pants look on me."
  • "This dress is too small."
  • "This shirt has a stain in it."
  • And the excuses go on and on!

By the time you're finished getting dressed, you have a pile of clothes that you don't want to wear tossed in a pile.

So the real question is... why are you keeping all those clothes if you're always finding an excuse not to wear them?

Why are those clothes taking up space in your home? Why are those clothes taking away your time and energy?

A smaller wardrobe of clothes you LOVE to wear is far more valuable than a larger wardrobe filled with clothes you hate or always find excuses not to wear.

Because all those clothes you're keeping are taking up valuable space and making you work for them. (Don't even get me started about all that extra laundry!)

I don't know about you, but if something is making me work for it, I want it to be worth my while!

Decluttering your wardrobe is one of the best possible gifts you can ever give yourself!

When sorting through your clothes, keep the things that you need in this season of your life and that fit your lifestyle. Get rid of the excess, things you never wear, things that aren't the right size, or don't fit your style/lifestyle.

  1. If you haven't yet, download the FREE challenge pack here.
  2. Follow the instructions for Week 5 (clothes).
  3. Spend 10-15 minutes each day completing the checklist for Week 5 (found in the FREE challenge pack).
  4. By the end of the week, you should have less clothes and laundry to deal with (and the most important part- you'll start creating a habit of decluttering).

In the FREE challenge pack, you'll find a worksheet under Week 5 to help you figure out how many outfits you actually need to support your current lifestyle. (Hint: it's a lot less than you might think!)
